What’s your job title and role at McCain Foods Limited?
I am currently a Careers Specialist, part of the Careers Centre of Expertise with McCain Foods Limited. I am based in Toronto, Canada.
What do you like most about working there?
I enjoy that my role is true end to end recruitment, something that I am passionate about. McCain Foods Limited is a Canadian owned organization that encourages growth, challenge, teamwork, global mobility, and creativity.
How did you get your job?
I obtained my role at McCain by simply responding to a posting on a job board aggregator: www.indeed.ca . I went through a thorough recruitment process that consisted of several meetings with the current Director of Careers and the team. Current team members are based in Lisle IL, Florenceville-Bristol New Brunswick, Canada, and Toronto.
What industry, specialty or function are you in now?
The industry that we are in: Food / CPG. As part of the Career Centre of Expertise, my function is North American and Global recruitment. The business units I support but not limited to are: Agronomy, Sales Marketing Commercial, and the Corporate function.
Do you have a degree &/or certification; If so, what kind and from where?
I am currently in the midst of completing a Degree Bachelor Program: Human Resource Strategy, through a local Toronto College.
