According to MSNBC.com the job market is making a back due to small businesses hiring and larger companies focus is on higher growth market outside the U.S. Job seekers’ when looking for jobs you may want to consider looking at your local small business as a first. Since the recession in 2007 job opening and hiring hit the second highest levels last month, according to a survey of the National Federation of Independent Businesses. The government published an estimated figure that the economy added an average of 155,000 jobs in December.
Four years ago smaller business laid off and fired people. Now those jobs lost in the beginning of the recession are coming back. ADP disclosed in a report during the month of December larger companies added 37,000 jobs while smaller business showed a net gain of 325,000 jobs.

Job Seekers do you feel overwhelmed with social media? I can just guess some the answers. Let’s face it, if you’re a job seeker and just created a LinkedIn, Blogger, Twitter account, don’t forget to add Google+ to the list . . . you’re probably overwhelmed with social media.
There are probably tons of social networks that you haven’t discovered and once you do you might feel like it’s all too much to handle. There are a lot out there for job seekers but not all are created equal.
When deciding which social networks to use considers the following:
1. The companies you would like to work for are using those platforms.
2. Recruiters you would like to reach out to using those networks.
3. Integrate social media tools help a great deal, maximize web applications.
4. Create a plan, use Google calendar and schedule your blog post.
5. Don’t join everything!
